Nestled between the Lindenberg and the Reuss, Muri in Aargau is the main town of the Freiamt district of the same name. The town is well connected thanks to the Aarau-Rotkreuz and Zurich-Rotkreuz railway lines as well as the Luzernerstrasse road, which forms part of the Lenzburg-Zug axis. The Freiamt economic area, which also includes the larger towns of Wohlen, Villmergen, Bremgarten and Muri, is growing rapidly.
